I worked at MorganFranklin Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good salary and work life balance is the best. This is due to a lack of client work

    Cons

    - Poor management team in the London office - Morale is very low in the office. Staff do not respect or want to work for the UK managing director(s) who rule the office in a dictatorship management style - Many people have resigned or have been fired since the new leadership team has been appointed. Currently there are under 10 full time staff, with only a handful of full time consultants left (around 4) - Lack of...

    Pros

    * US operations and people seem nice and cooperative * Loads of potential for career advancement (with the right senior management) * Good place for a self-starter (with the right senior management) * Good service offering potential led from the US * Compensation and benefits are market average * Nice work colleagues * Nice office location in London

    Cons

    * Poor local senior management and leadership * Poor communications top-down to lower ranks * Operations and assignments very disorganised and ad-hoc * Client base and new business is confusing and unstable (almost cowboy in nature) * Local office ignores and often ignores the US operations * Poor career advancement * Everything requires approval from local senior management * Workers are constantly micro-managed,...

    Advice to Management

US senior management should fix the problems and address the issues with local senior management; perhaps, a local acquisition to bring in more competent and worker-friendly senior management (to replace or overlay current local senior management). Best practice would be to replace the current local senior management. US senior management should bring in outside sales and marketing experts to improve lead generation...

I have been working at MorganFranklin Consulting full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A consulting firm that truly values its people and culture. I have worked at other consulting firms where leaderships motivates by fear and intimidation. This is NOT the case at MFC. Employees have a say in the types of projects they work on and there is no pressure to take on work not suited for one's skill set.

    Cons

    Pay is slightly below average.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Continue to value your employees and the company will prosper. Also, baseline pay is slightly below average. Think about increasing base salaries slightly.

I worked at MorganFranklin Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Standard benefits and good post college experience to ramp up. Careful can also be career killer for senior staff.

    Cons

Too many to name but to start Leadership is terrible. Bonus structure and performance reviews are irrelevant on so many levels.

    Advice to Management

Clean house and get real leadership in there that are truly committed to developing, mentoring and retaining good talent!

I have been working at MorganFranklin Consulting full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great access to firm leadership. Capabilities across various areas of interest to CFOs, CIOs, and their departments. Business development bonuses and the ESOP! Flexibility to work from home when presence at a client site is not expected.

    Cons

The performance review cycle is annual, which is not frequent enough.

I have been working at MorganFranklin Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great location in Tyson’s Corner Decent benefits for a smaller firm Growth in accounting and transaction services practice

    Cons

Relentless focus on the market comes at the cost of developing and retaining talent. When I started with the firm, the senior consultant on my team had been working there for a year, with 0 experience in the subject matter related to projects he was working on and 0 coaching/training received. As a result, the quality of deliverables is sub-par. Definitely not the best place to start a career. Also, because of the focus...

I have been working at MorganFranklin Consulting full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

After years of stagnation, the company appears to be scaling. The question remains, at what cost?

    Cons

There are too many managing directors that appear to have inherent biases against employees or prospective employees who are not from the east coast. Newly hired employees are routinely assigned to projects, without any upper management support. Once an employee is hired they are on their own. It appears the company is more interested in making the next dollar than trying to secures a long-term quality client, and retain...

We hear you! We are currently implementing Skype systems in 6 new rooms to help meet the needs of our employees. And remember, every MD and Director office has a "clean desk" policy, which means employees are free to use them as phone rooms when vacant. Thanks for your feedback!
