I have been working at Mu Sigma full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You will see an organisation grow..you will see it win, celebrate and move on... you will watch it lose, buck up and move on.. you will see it make mistakes, learn and move on.. you will realise why organisations are similar to organisms.. much like you And this comes at a cost

    Cons

You will have moments of self doubt, you might find yourself doing things you did not sign up for, you will most definitely be clocking long hours.

I have been working at Mu Sigma full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1) Steep Learning curve 2) Flexibility to find avenues and work around areas of interest 3) Ability to move across different accounts/clients

    Cons

    1) Probability to learn from peers is random (based on which team you end up working in) 2) Most of the work is driven from off-shore, so your work is mostly managerial which is not great in the long term for your career 3) Team management becomes challenging considering the work is done elsewhere; Offshore team comprises of mostly young inexperienced college grads (including the leads and PMs) so often you end up in solving problems that could have been resolved easily there 4) High attrition rate - both onsite and offshore 5) Irrespective of the role, everyone invariably does sales

I have been working at Mu Sigma full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I matured more as a manager here than I think I would have matured at any other company in any other role. One is expected to be an entrepreneur within a larger company at Mu Sigma. That comes with making decisions and backing them up with sound evidence and logic. Orchestrating efforts across diverse teams is much harder than one would expect at first and having that experience early in life is helpful. Leading teams is tough but if you ask around, repeat the things you like and ignore the ones you don't. Eventually you see for yourself what works and what doesn't and it can be fun when you are with a team of people you get along with Immediate room for growth for those who show willingness to experiment in areas they may be unfamiliar

    Cons

Lot of instability (even have a nickname for it = VUCA). Little structure/standardized learning. Reputation often seen as young/inexperienced employee base which leads to low confidence in delivering results (depending on the company)
