Work is good but culture sucks.

      Pros

Great exposure to the world of analytics Steep learning curve and lot of opportunities to try your hand at various aspects like sales, BD, consulting You will develop some high level connects with your clients which again is a great learning opportunity.

      Cons

The culture sucks big time. Treating employees with respect is an alien thing at Mu Sigma. In the last six months at least 60% of my team (onsite) left including me. It is not a place where lateral hires can expect a good growth as there is a strong bias towards folks who have been with mu-sigma since inception. The salary is a big negative but it is not something that the company tries to hide. I saw that most people who worked with others companies leave in about an year. Some of the people who joined Mu-Sigma from the clients have left in a span of few months.

      Dynamic work environment

      Pros

      - Dynamic work environment - High growth opportunities - Steep learning curve - Exposure to technical and client services - Hard working and amazing people to work with - Emphasis on learning over knowing

      Cons

      - Poor work life balance - Thrusted into management roles too quickly before attaining enough technical experience - Focus on breadth over depth - Client facing roles require you to churn out projects that might not be as accurate as you would like it to be, owing to working against tight deadlines - HR team does not do enough to make employees feel valued - Non competitive compensation - No overtime pay although almost every employee puts in more than 12 hours of work every day

      Cons

Work pressure is more and hectic schedules.

      Save yourself the disappointment

      Pros

Hardly any. I am surprised to see how “steep learning curve” is thrown around so shamelessly. As if all the learning in the world happens at Mu Sigma. The truth is fresher out of college usually have a steep learning curve in most companies that have anything to do with tech. Please don’t fall for this trap. Mu Sigma University is half decent. The instructors hardly are experts themselves (bunch of 2nd and 3rd years who are tired of working in delivery) and nobody really gets good at anything with 5 days of training.

      Cons

Most projects you’d get here are pretty basic/monotonous. Body leasing marketed as analytics. Terrible work life balance and employee treatment. Unbelievably low pay.

      Pros

      - Amazing exposure to senior Fortune 500 business leaders - Steep learning curve

      Cons

      - Too chaotic, needs more processes to make the life of leadership and employees easier - Needs to let go of the employee retainer contracts, it is hurting Mu Sigma's brand
