I have been working at NERA Economic Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Friendly and supportive environment. Smart and interesting people. Good work-life balance. NERA provides good training and development. Overall a really good work experience.

    Cons

Salary and additional compensation not that high compared to similar positions within the sector. Other than that, there is not anything particularly negative to report.

    Advice to Management

Try to work on more in the cons section. Managers are very busy being trying to please the client and there's minimal focus on the general overall work.

I have been working at NERA Economic Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good atmosphere if you have a semi-academic background and interest in economics. Lots of international employees (mainly European and American). Varied and intellectually stimulating work.

    Cons

A bit too corporate and mercenary - probably more of an indictment on consulting as a whole rather than NERA specifically. I really just don't care what happens to my clients. Hours can be variable and sometimes long, but again that's par for the course in consulting.

I worked at NERA Economic Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good to learn the basics of applying standard economic theory to policy and business cases.

    Cons

90% of employees exhibit: - Inability to conceptually and creatively think about anything, just apply established (risk-averse) and dull methods and tools repetitively. - Cruel lack of social skills. - No respect for clients. If NERA was a person, she / he would be diagnosed with autism.
