Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

      Pros

Very pleasant offices but that is where it ends

      Cons

      Sink or Swim

      Pros

Very entrepreneurial - if you want the wild west and the opportunity to earn lots of money then NSC could be the right place for you

      Cons

No longevity or real passion to build long term partnerships. Totally focused on winning the big ticket deal but not really interested in delivering a good service. No support or training - it is totally sink or swim from the day you arrive and then very quickly you are supposed to deliver very big results

      Pros

None. There is no upside to working for this soul less entity

      Cons

Owner cares more for providing a referral for a marketing services supplier to the business, than thanking his employees for their hard work during the past year. NSC is an awful company - go else where. you will get paid more and at least get some appreciation for your work!

You’re viewed and treated as a commodity to be sold, rather than a valued employee.

      Pros

Remote working, pension contributions (although that’s try of all employers) and reasonable wages.

      Cons

The company offers a limited, not very generous, annual leave allowance, absolute minimum sick leave entitlement and there is very little top cover from management. Other than there being an annual leave entitlement, albeit not very generous, and pension contributions, it’s probably more beneficial for most to be a true contractor than to be contracted out by NSC as a salaried employee. There is an acceptance amongst the project staff that you’re a commodity to be sold rather than a valued employee and working consecutive nights and days is not uncommon; on paper you should take the hours back the following day, in practice this often isn’t possible, overtime isn’t paid without a struggle and it’s not unheard of for TOIL to expire before there’s been an opportunity to take it due to intense periods of project delivery. There is a high turnover of staff, due to the reasons stated above, but the company seems content with this. Bottom line; they view those that they contract out to bring in the money with contempt.

Slit your veins or go hungry, but DON'T work here !!!

      Pros

It was Market salary with no bonuses whats so ever.

      Cons

Toxic, poisonous culture driven by greedy, terrible corrupt owner. He rules this company with an iron fists, &imposes immorale at time corrupt practices on his senior management whom in turn treat their staff like fresh meat. The CFO is the worst finance professional I have worked under. More importantly the worst man I ever known, after the owner of this coy. Staff are not treated with respect, but instead like disposable nappies, whom should be thrown away after its sell by date. Finance are seen as the fall guys whilst Sales survive by blaming all the ills on the Finance dept. CFO Rob Purcell lets the whole company rip into finance & sits back & protects his own job. Don't work here, & if your a finance professional, definetly don't as the staff turnover for finance guy is around months. You will cry tears of blood if you choose this company, Top down the whole company is run by immorale, weak, blood sucking corrupt people. I have a new job, & only now I understand how bad NSC Global really was as a company, & how it made money on other people's misery! Please do not work here, you all deserve better!

      Pros

Salary was good, but not worth the working environment.

      Cons

Toxic environment with untrustworthy Senior Management. Very little in terms of transparancy with the direction of the business and the CEO seems to rule by fear which does not provide a good working environment
