I worked at Nalco Champion full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great work atmosphere in the company. Freedom to express your views. The training programs conducted by the company are Excellent. Best working phase was between 2012-2018.

    Cons

Too many mergers spoilt everything leading to major attrition and difficulty in job stability.

    Advice to Management

Overall the management had handled my case very comfortably. However, every company has those certain people who is never happy with other's growth. Stay away from them. Hoping this nice company will survive the comping test after the Spin-off...

I have been working at Nalco Champion full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

A great team of people, experienced Leadership and a real focus on oil and gas customers. We are supported by our management to work safely, ethically and to bring value to our customers, not just sell sell sell.

    Cons

Energy Services is very Houston-centric, so opportunities really are often about being in Houston, and ideally being an American in Houston. The international region sometimes feels a bit second place to TX.

    Advice to Management

Steve : please keep Energy Services isolated from Ecolab as much as possible to ensure our people continue to be valued and motivated. Ecolab has brought some much needed investment dollars, and some internal structure, but Energy Services has a reputation of valuing employees, being nimble and flexible which appears to be missing in Ecolab.

I have been working at Nalco Champion full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Management style was relaxed though produced results.

    Cons

Employee development is extremely poor. Most of the development that does exist is through in house courses that are not industry recognised.

    Advice to Management

Look more closely at the people at the bottom, where are they going, what aspirations are you offering them? Are they clear?
