Pros

The salary was competitive for the position, however it took negotiating when offered the job.

Cons

This was by far the worst company that I’ve ever worked for. The CEO is rarely around and only really shows up for “photo op” quarterly meetings. The main person involved in day-to-day activities is the COO. Despite his background and lack of experience, he’s seemingly given free reign to do whatever he wants. Despite his lack of knowledge and tendency to completely misinterpret things, he proverbially runs the show — and quite poorly. Anyone in the company will tell you communication is awful from top to bottom. Goals are often unrealistic, and always set in a completely whimsical, schizophrenic manner without regard to objective facts. The “leadership team” — all men — do not effectively communicate with the rest of the company. They don’t listen to feedback from staff. I’m convinced that I was fired because I provided honest feedback to the leadership team regarding their nonsensical, doomed-to-fail directions. I believe this because the reasons for my being let go were not even remotely true — in fact, the metrics that I was given were actually the complete revers of what the COO referenced. If you tell the “leaders” that something is unrealistic, they’ll tell you that you’re wrong. Then, later, when their plans fail like you told them they would, they just blame you. The CEO and COO are never to blame for their own terrible decisions. There’s also an extreme level of turnover in this company. Over the two years I was with the company, two CFO’s left, the IT department was fired, and multiple office staff were either let go or quit. The culture at this company is terrible, and it’s 100% because of the poor leadership. Working at Namco is basically like working at a used car dealership.

Pros

There are no pros at all anymore.

Cons

Where do I even start? First of all, they probably won't be around much longer and are currently in the process of restructuring. They can't keep product on the shelves because they can't pay their bills. Numerous vendors have refused to do business with them because of this. They claim its a family atmosphere but they are only out for themselves. If you disagree with the Leadership Team you are shut out and then phased out. They cut staffing this year in order to save a buck and then worked the few employees they had to the bone. The VP of Retail's phrase of choice was "embrace the suck" and "do more with less". They have absolutely no clue how to run a successful company!
