    I have been working at Nando's UK full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Can be a caring environment. Staff parties are a big thing. Flexible hours. Can build long lasting friendships.

    Cons

    Each store has it's own problems, understaffing can be a big trend among stores.
    If you want to progress, you'll have to brown nose or be friends with someone higher up. Progression isn't always handed out on merit (at least not at my store, Printworks).
    Pay isn't great for the amount of work you do, and you only get a pay rise if you ask, not because they think you deserve one.
    Theres a lot of pressure on the staff, from the grilles and cashiers, up to management. Everyone is stressed. The Printworks store isn't a great place to work, everyone is unhappy. But I'd recommend another store.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff, and treat them with consistency. Reward the staff that deserve to be rewarded, not because they've brown nosed you. Pay attention to hard working members of staff, they're the ones holding your business up!

    I have been working at Nando's UK part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Really good, above-average pay equal to every employer (not supervisors);
    Free meal up to 10 pounds after each shift;
    Great quality of food;
    High focus on teamwork;
    Facilitation of personal development and growth, if wanted;
    There is almost always something to be done that can keep you busy if wanted;
    Often challenges arise depending on present customers number and overall situation with available stock, places, time of day, number of available staff, etc.

    Cons

    After a while the tasks everyday become very dull and monotonous, depending on which area of the restaurant one is working in;
    Some tasks are very tiring and/or particularly disgusting (but then again, they have to be done)

    Pros

    working ad Nando's as a fun experience for me, with fun, friendly people working at my particular branch in Chatham. It was a fast pace environment so the shift times went relatively quickly. It was a great bonus having the food for free on your breaks.

    Cons

    The breaks at Nando's were far too short, at 20 minutes. by the time you finished your food you were rushed back. I didn't like the cleanliness of the store as they didn't use the cleaning equipment with the correct procedures.

    Advice to Management

    I would advice the Management to to find better way of displaying the weekly rota, as it was very unorganized and difficult to ascertain the shift times. the chain of communication could improve as one instruction from one manager could be suddenly contradicted by another.

    I have been working at Nando's UK full-time

    Pros

    Good young workforce. Good team morale. Loads of free drink nights, events throughout the year like the Christmas Party, Summer Day out, Tournaments such as football- Peri Cup and many other events.

    Paid breaks, and free food on shift up to a certain budget.

    Cons

    High pressure environment, fast paced. Can be very stressful, often.
    Late night closes. Very busy throughout the shifts, although it is expected.

    Advice to Management

    Although usually they are very understanding and flexible with availability, sometimes they can be inconsiderate and it makes work life balance hard to work out. Also realise that the workforce is young (generally) and therefore coping with a lot of external stressors at that age.

    Great food, work/life balance and the friends you make there you'll have for life

    Cons

    Hard to get time off, favouritism among management, low hourly pay, lack of progression opportunities

    Advice to Management

    Don't sit in the office all day when your staff need you and look at constructively growing the capabilities of your staff
