I have been working at Nando's UK full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Weekly pay and the only thing I would say is if you need a job urgently take it! Free meals

    Cons

Long hours, rude managers when are stressed take things out on you, hardly any training and then they will moan that you don't know how to do something, mangers who have favourite team members who then get away with doing nothing.i want to put so much more but this is word limit on here!

    Advice to Management

Be professional, help your staff instead of sitting on your phone, don't shout at them we are ALL humans at the end of the day,and when your stressed staff are not an emotional punch bag,it's a hard job but shouting at putting staff down won't make people work hard for you and go the extra mile.

I worked at Nando's UK (More than a year)

    Pros

Great food, weekly pay, good social events

    Cons

Too many lazy and unprofessional people get employed, rules for one and different for another, management seemed to find it easier to criticise you personally and not sort out issues,no confidentiality or encouragement for positive working relationships, too much favouritism

    Advice to Management

Didn't have a positive experience, I loved my job but did not enjoy the experience from other team members and the unprofessional way events were handled.
I experienced bullying behaviour all down to rumour spreading. It wasn't taken seriously enough and felt like the response was personal criticism. I was accused of grassing everyone up yet I didn't have any issues with the majority of the team. It obviously all got out of hand and wasn't handled well when I complained and it resulted in the majority of the team making my time uncomfortable, like I was a scapegoat all because of rumour spreading.
Too many people in positions where they felt like working hard didn't apply to them and the ones that did didn't get praise.
I worked all weekend every weekend for months and your supposed to have a weekend or a day over once a month.
Highly pressurising in busy times and so slow to replace things like cutlery stock wise,it creates problems.
The pot wash floor was in disrepair for the whole year I worked there, the floor was flooded most of the time.
I hope things have changed since my time there and I think support and praise should be taken up and not just on people who you favour, those who work hard should be recognised.
The pay was minimal at the time and I felt for what you do it should be more especially at weekends and on closes.
