I have been working at Nando's UK part-time

    Pros

Amazing employer. Thorough training, tonnes of opportunities for progression, great weekly pay especially for young students with pay rises for buddy trainers. Free food on shift. Loads of perks in other stores through Perkbox, 40% staff discount and regular social occasions - from restaurant teambuilds funded by tips and staff fund, to huge regional parties three times a year with free alcohol. The work is hard but as long as you have good time and management behind you it's bearable. Big on morals and values.

    Cons

The work can be very stressful, and who you work with is so important - both managers and fellow staff. They can make or break the job. Lack of consistency with pay rates throughout stores (some restaurants pay buddies £7.85, other restaurants £8).

    Advice to Management

Stricter regime for manager progression to make sure nobody is cutting corners, it reflects on their work.

I have been working at Nando's UK full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great company to work for:
    Great values
    Free food on shift
Adequate breaks and paid breaks (Differ dependent on shift)
    Good rates of pay
    Flexible - shift swaps possible
Friendly and generally young energetic staff
A good Nandos manager is a great manager
Regular staff nights out - both within the region including other local Nandos stores and store specific days and nights out

    Cons

Weekend work and some unsocial hours - closes are finished when the job is done - not a bad thing - but does mean if shift is busier than expected or staff are slow, its an undetermined and late finish (possibly 2am on a weekend)

I have been working at Nando's UK full-time

    Pros

Good young workforce. Good team morale. Loads of free drink nights, events throughout the year like the Christmas Party, Summer Day out, Tournaments such as football- Peri Cup and many other events.

Paid breaks, and free food on shift up to a certain budget.

    Cons

High pressure environment, fast paced. Can be very stressful, often.
Late night closes. Very busy throughout the shifts, although it is expected.

    Advice to Management

Although usually they are very understanding and flexible with availability, sometimes they can be inconsiderate and it makes work life balance hard to work out. Also realise that the workforce is young (generally) and therefore coping with a lot of external stressors at that age.

    Favouritism

    Advice to Management
