    Pros

    genuinely care about their staff
    lots of staff team building activities
    made to feel like a family

    Cons

    Tough working hours- not sociable or family friendly
    fast labour turnover- makes your job harder as always working with lower trained staff

    Advice to Management

    Think about your staff's personal life as well as work life and try to allow at least one weekend a month off for staff.

    - Flexible working hours
    - Easy restaurant transfers
    - Opportunity to climb within the company (HR etc)
    - Friendly work teams
    - Company competitions
    - Family day
    - Keep tips or spend tips on a group day / night out

    - Long days
    - Late finishing hours depending on location of restaurant

    Pros

    Working in Nando`s is great if you are studying in the meantime. The working hours are flexible and most of the workers are students too so you gain lots of nice friendships.

    Cons

    No career opportunities. The company hires young and younger managers which don`t know how to manage people correctly. Awful management.

    I have been working at Nando's UK full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Friendly people. 4 week sabbatical every 5 years worked. 3 day conference every 2 years with plenty of team trips and teambuilding events

    Cons

    Long working hours if your line manager doesn't manage their recruitment properly. Not loads of options in the north outside of the restaurant.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in making sure there is always enough back up management positions.

    - good relationship between staff and managers

    Cons

    - can be quite clicky (depends on the store though)
    - nature of the job means hours can be rather un-sociable
