I have been working at Nando's UK full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Friendly people. 4 week sabbatical every 5 years worked. 3 day conference every 2 years with plenty of team trips and teambuilding events

    Cons

Long working hours if your line manager doesn't manage their recruitment properly. Not loads of options in the north outside of the restaurant.

    Advice to Management

Invest in making sure there is always enough back up management positions.

I worked at Nando's UK full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free food
    Good breaks
    Always doing work
    Good management

    Cons

Some of the trainees were horrible, espeicially the polish ladies. One, in pqarticualr, seemed to hate my guts for some reason and she would always swear at me whenever I did something bad. Most of the back of house workers were foreigners and it was very hard to understand their instructions. Hence, I did not enjoy working at the back of house. However, the front of house was amazing. I would recommend everyone to work as FOH member instead of grills.
The working hours are also a problem vecause somedays they would expect you to work till close (midnight) and then expect you start at midday. It was hard to actually do some of these shifts.

WORK PART-TIME, not Full time. Otherwise you would not enjoy it.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you do. Probabaly one of the best and comprehensive management. However, the working hours needs to be changed.

I have been working at Nando's UK full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lovely people to work with, excellent induction process, development opportunities are huge and really allow you to explore interests/skills, social side of things is great... and you get a free Nando's every day you work!

    Cons

Can be quite hierarchical at times despite pretending otherwise. Needs more flexibility around working hours and work/life balance. Quite 'cliquey' occasionally.
