      Amazing People, So Many Opportunities

      Pros

      The people are just amazing, smart, and hardworking. Everyone here is passionate about library work and doing the best they can for their customers. There's a lot of room for innovation and growth. Hours are fairly flexible when they need to be. There's tons of training to take part in so you really feel like you get to grow as a librarian.

      Cons

      Parking at Nichols is a beast! This is not really a con, but a bit of advice. This place has three buildings that all interact and work together. You need to be good at clear electronic/in person communication and time management here. You also need to be a team player, be forgiving, and lend a hand wherever.

      Books are the best part

      Pros

      I love working with books. I see many titles that I never would have discovered on my own. I also work with some of the kindest people I have ever met.

      Cons

      The schedules can be vary quite a bit from week to week and it can be a bit challenging to get time off on the weekends and holidays since we have to trade with another coworker (even if we have vacation time available)

      This was the best job ever! Excellent staff members and customers! A Place to Be...a place with a purpose, a job with a purpose and people who make it purposeful!

      Every department is invested in providing their best, because of that there were no "cons".
