    Positive Outlook

I have been working at National Research University Higher School of Economics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

HSE is the most advanced university in Russia. The environment is similar to the world's best research universities so it is excellent if not the only choice for people who are interested in doing world class research in Russia.

    Cons

The opportunities and compensation are by far the best in Russia. But it means that HSE created a monopoly on a Russian job market for the most talented researchers, they basically have nowhere else to go. University use this monopoly to put it's staff under maximal pressure, so one should forget about weekends and holidays, holidays is not time for rest, it is time for writing more papers

    Advice to Management

Put people not money, publications and other indicators first. Make the environment for the then comfortable, healthy and stress free
