    Friendly, approachable colleagues Can get on if you’re in with management

    Cons

    Little tolerance for new starters Made to work an extra 30-60 minutes each day unpaid (apparently this has since been reversed) (Some) patronising management Sales, banking culture, not the helpful Building Society they portray themselves as

    Great company, lots of exciting things always going on and they have great values

    Cons

    It is almost impossible to progress at a career, I chose nationwide because I believed that was important to them however it’s very much nowhat you know but who you know that gets you anywhere

    Supportive culture and great training (plus very good pension arrangements).

    Cons

    Head office in Swindon, very few opportunities for progression if you didn't want to move.

    More opportunities available up North, immense competition for progression with current Nationwide employees resulting in many talented workers leaving
