I have been working at New Look full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Every Friday finish at 4 Good sample sales and chuckouts Monthly “new look arms” with free drinks and domino’s Most buyers/managers I have worked with have been supportive of career progression My team in particular is fine for leaving on time, I’m able to manage workload and the department isn’t as high on directors radars so we don’t have as many important meetings

    Cons

Some members judge for taking your lunch break/leaving on time Some silly expectations of the role, BAAs are expected to stay late the day before big meetings - however flexi time is endorsed by hr and higher management I think most of my cons come from team members rather than the company It can be hard to progress I’ve heard from others who have been waiting for ages to be given an assistant buyer position even though they have passed the assessment Salary could be better

I worked at New Look full-time for more than a year

    Pros

50% staff discount generous sample sales

    Cons

BAA's are not respected or treated well- you are expected to work long hours and do unpleasant jobs that are quite demeaning such as make tea for more senior roles. Managers do not seem to have any managerial skills once they are promoted and so this effects how the BAA's are treated Hard work is not recognised You are expected to work longer than your contracted hours. It is very hard to progress and you will not be promoted if they do not have the budget! The salary is very low in comparison to other companies
