      Pros

You are surrounded by incredibly capable, driven and lovely people. Newton really try to do the best by their clients, working in a very collaborative way. Newton will keep pushing until the results are seen for the client. The work is genuinely helpful. Newton really try to look after their people. Wellbeing is a top priority. A lot of focus on development. You are given a lot of responsibility and scope from day 1. How a team is developing is important for managers.

      Cons

The work can feel very stressful and relentless. A lot is asked of our teams. The days can feel very pressurised for long periods of time. Travel and away from home Mon-Thurs/Fri

      Pros

      1. Fantastic company culture - N-weekends, review days, activity days, parties, etc, make it an amazing place to work 2. Impactful work - work consistently makes a difference and there is rarely any compromises on client delivery 3. Great development - there's a real focus on rapid professional development, you're quickly asked to step up and lead bigger work streams and manage larger teams

      Cons

      1. Burn out - especially with remote working it can be easy to get a string of tough projects and over work yourself

      Unique Company Culture

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Opinions are based off <1 years experience in the buisness. -Great approach to learning to and development -Supportive culture (got a great line manager as well as a seperste development manager who both regularly check how I'm doing) -Everyone you meet is incredibly clever -Very few people aren't friendly and nice (not saying everyone's a Saint, but most people are just super friendly and easy to build rapport with) -Company well being is measured biweekly and appears to be acted upon if there are issues. -During Covid they have gone above and beyond organizing virtual events and activity so that people feel connected.

      Cons

-High pressure and high expectations continously can be draining (especially when working from home) -Diversity is still an issue (but one where they are very open about and putting a lot of effort and thought into solving) -Salary doesn't increase as fast as it does in some firms.

Great job, probably not for everyone

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Excellent personal development Fast rate of progression Collaborative business model - not base don individual competition/ sales targets Meaningful and real tangible work - not report writing

      Cons

Need to be open and receptive to feedback - even down to colleagues being encouraged to share thoughts after every meeting/ encounter , rather than a fixed annual appraisal - can be alien compared, particularly if under confident Still a young company - both in staff age and how established it is - so get all the benefits and cons of that. Pre-covid expectation is full time away during week (pretty hard to improve the operations of dockyard or surgical theatre if you're never actually there), and has impact on personal life. This has changed during covid, and business open to how to get best balance in future.

Excellent place to start your career

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Fun and nice people who you can make genuine friends with Lots of scope to develop especially in the first few years of your career (although it is hard work) Culture based on principles and not processes - so there is a lot of flexibility in how things are done Social events People in charge genuinely want to improve things even though it might not always look that way (reading some of the comments on here)

      Cons

Can be inward-looking - Newton could do more to look at innovation outside and make better use of experienced hires' knowledge. It can get a bit much and take over your life (work and social) especially if you don't have experience of working elsewhere. It's important to have boundaries and take time for yourself during the work week. Diversity and inclusion is an area of development - work is being done to improve this but there's still a long way to go especially for senior team diversity and inclusion of experienced hires
