1. Classless. Nexius has had a layoff a week before Christmas without severance. They have had all hands meetings and mass emails promoting Nexius love and collaboration. And now in the owners personal words the company is following a "selective growth" model of business operations to keep a float during times when all other telecommunication companies are sinking like a ship in a storm.
2. Zero Management to Employee Loyalty. Let's be honest here unless you're a good looking 20 something female employee or a good male friend to the owners you're not an employee but a contractor in their eyes. You're not valuable but expendable. The fact that Nexius has had 3 large layoffs in less then a year should tell how "valuable" you are, let alone how valuable Nexius is. The fact that when the owners decided to fire 15% of their employees to pad their own pockets for the holidays instead of;
a. Decrease the 8 VPs, 10 Senior Directors or their own bonuses
b. Fire the real contractors
c. Not out source to Lebanon
Should tell you have they have no love for you.
3. Liars. They strung me along like some dumb main character in a 40's film noir. Promising my job was safe. That a goldmine of work was headed in my direction. The next week, a week before Christmas, I was laid off to better follow the selective growth model. But according to the last email I received, an email blast from one of the owners, I'm appreciated and loved for my work.
