Pros

It was interesting to learn about water and energy conservation. Working for a company that you THINK is making a change is always a plus.

Cons

Senior management lies consistently. In your interview they will tell you everything you want to hear, but once hired prepare for blindsides from all sides. I was working 12 hour days, including most Saturdays, with little to no appreciation. Though they were always firing employees without reason, I was assured my position was secure.....up until I found out who in management was sleeping with each other (they were not single to be doing so).....you better believe I was let go quickly after that was known. I was told it was due to another employee's statement, but that other employee was let go soon after myself and upon speaking to that employee it was confirmed they had said nothing of the sort. Management uses it's employees to do their dirty work. This is a very dishonest, disrespectful, unprofessional company. The list of cons goes on forever. Stay away from this company at all costs, they have zero values. The company is ran haphazardly and the employees are treated like garbage.

After a thorough review with HR and the management team no such complaint was ever filed. We also have no records or proof of anyone working 12 hour days. This review is greatly exaggerated and filled with inaccurate information.

Pros

Pretty decent salary & benefits.

Cons

Arrogant executives & management. Firing employees so often without any notices at all. They'd come to you & escort you out the door. Just like throwing trash. Lack of leadership & management skill. The business is going down the toilet. Ironic considering the company sells toilets. Turn-over (with the firing) is EXTREMELY HIGH. Management treats the employees without respect at all. A bunch of arrogant owner, his kids, his kids' buddy and manipulative CFO. This company will no longer exist in a few years. STAY AWAY...!!!

We rarely terminate employees, but like any company we have people that choose to leave for other opportunities or have instances when we make changes to our markets that some positions get eliminated. We take employee separation very seriously and treat everyone with the utmost respect. We have a very rigid process for doing so.

Pros

The pay is ok. I wish i could give it no stars!

Cons

This is been by far the worst career choice I have ever made. They have lied to me repeatedly saying that they are a good company and they have no intention upon letting people go. Over the last 9 months I have seen about 15-20 people let go, with nothing more than just a “BYE” They are constantly changing direction on a whim. One day they are stable the next they are being bought out by another company. They are by far the worst company to work for, they treat the employees like dogs then still expect them to run and catch a bone when it is thrown. The VP is the absolute worst. The owner is not to bad himself but the people he has running his organization are abolutly horrible heartless individuals. I have never been with a company that disposes of its employees in such a manor. They have given a million promises yet they never follow through. If you have a question your boss will never be able to answer for you… All they can say is , I honestly do not know and I will have to get back with you, then they never do. I have a young son and I needed to know I have a stable job, if you want to be with a stable company I suggest you stay far away from Niagara conservation . This job has ruined my life, I walk in each morning thinking it will be my last…
