All of the issues below are based on my experience within a specific team - I believe this is normally a very good place to work but I'd avoid IT: Poor management (at Team and Department level) Typical NHS issue with promoting unqualified people into positions of management due to long service rather than skills Questionable use of public funds (IT specific) Lack of support Poor planning and terrible risk management

You can notice sometimes how higher ups can have more rights than the bottom working individuals and receive more praise.
