I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Significant delegation within bounds. Treated like an adult by UK management.

    Cons

Authority in the hands of US based management . Seagull syndrome, didn't really understand tge market.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Top level of company is committed to continuous improvement. Focus on ethical behavior and business decisions trumps short term thinking. Opportunities for those who perform and willing to work hard. Lots of ways employees can be heard all the way to the top. Contributions to global security are more than most know. Significant portion is restricted and not discussed in the public. The work is amazing stuff.

    Cons

Pockets of old school cultures remain a large sites. Some terminal rank middle Managment needs to just leave. Opportunities are limited at smaller sites.

    Advice to Management

You are on the right track. Keep working on removing that clay layer of ineffective middle management.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Company has good values and policies. Good working environment, flexible schedule, competitive pay, best coworkers.

    Cons

Poor middle management, bottom managers are great, and director and above are great, but middle managers are more of the title chasers and "company men". D&I struggles. People are people anywhere you go, but much less politics than many companies.

    Advice to Management

Know who you are promoting, beyond just what they want you to see.
