      Pros

Significant delegation within bounds. Treated like an adult by UK management.

      Cons

Authority in the hands of US based management . Seagull syndrome, didn't really understand tge market.

      Advice to Management

Don't treat an overseas market like its US state and local.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 10 years

        Pros

Great people Flexible working hours Nice building Free good coffee Meaningful work Great benefits for employees before 2014

        Cons

Technologically very behind the curve 2016 bonus system is insulting HR is hideous Paperwork heavy Many big projects either come to nothing or go south pretty quickly. No home working

        Advice to Management

Need to become more agile and allow staff to influence policies on a local level. Should attempt to build up business slower as current strategy of hunting big bids doesn't seem to be working.

        Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 5 years

        Pros

With the continuous change of leadership and business model there is opportunity for people with certain skills to gain promotion and recognition. The people here are great to work with. Good place to learn and gain experience.

        Cons

Constant restructuring of the organisation and business model is an issue. People are put in roles where they are not equiped for success. Once you have broadened your expereince and skills there is not a definitive next career step. Many skilled people have left over the years who would have been fantastic employees to keep.

        Advice to Management

Don't treat emlpoyees like voters, you are not a politician.

        I worked at Northrop Grumman

        Pros

NGIT bought TRW in UK who had hired in some of the brightest and most energetic BD and pres sales folks going

        Cons

US management could not relate to the smaller scales of doing business in Europe. UK management did not spend enough time engaged with US managers

        Advice to Management

        Listen to your internnational employees

        No Opinion of CEO

        I worked at Northrop Grumman

        Pros

Strong technical and programme management ethos. When UK management had primacy, NGIT had a capable, competent and cohesive team . Good to gain first job experience of a Fortune 100, multi-national.

        Cons

US centric view on market not aligned to european business ITAR restrictions place huge difficulty on pulling product though from US. UK staff sometimes treated as "third country nationals"

        Advice to Management

Listen to your East Atlantic staff, you can only step down in volume from the US market. Smell the coffee or give up in Europe.
