A company with the classic Greek mentality of unrealistic deadlines, toxic environment and incompetence. They fail miserably in trying to adopt scrum and create a development process.

Management expertise: Concerns arise about the qualifications of some in key management roles, affecting decision-making and team performance in Technology department. Lack of clear career path: The absence of career path creates uncertainty around growth prospects, hindering motivation and goal-setting. This is a primary concern for losing valuable employees meanwhile there are several cases where people with limited skills are promoted to key roles. Limited structured salary review: The company lacks a clear guideline for salary increases based on performance evaluations, leaving employees uncertain about the process. Discretionary bonuses: Bonuses tied to upper management's decisions can't be relied upon for motivation, leading to inconsistency in recognizing employee performance. Inconvenient office locations: Office premises are situated inconveniently, creating commuting challenging for employees. On-site work policy: On-site work policy, especially when the competition is offering more flexibility on that. Individual agendas in middle management: Middle managers driven by personal motives, even at the cost of the company.

Toxic management style characterized by egocentric decision-making, and a lack of accountability. Senior managers are often non-technical and interfere in ways that block productivity rather than support it. Decisions are often made by managers lacking the relevant expertise, and day-to-day control overrides collaboration. Opaque leadership and inconsistent communication. Company goals are vague or not communicated, bonuses are promised but rarely delivered, and internal messaging often contradicts actual outcomes. Bonuses are discretionary and arbitrary, tied more to personal favoritism than measurable performance. This creates a sense of instability and mistrust. No clear career paths or structured evaluations. Roles are flat, advancement is undefined, and performance reviews—if they occur—don’t lead to raises or development. Poor cross-departmental collaboration and office politics are frequent. Individuals are promoted based on alignment with leadership rather than merit or skill. Immature or toxic behaviors go unchecked, including cliquish dynamics, emotional manipulation by certain managers, and a culture compared to a “teenage drama.” Training and mentoring are virtually non-existent, making professional growth unlikely beyond your starting level.
