Fantastic fast paced place to work. Success is well rewarded.

    Cons

Do not join this company if you want to sit back and relax in your comfort zone. We need builders and entrepreneurs!

Keep it up. Keep the culture. Keep being real. Keep being you.

I have been working at Nutanix full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is vibrant with a strong culture and ethics. It's hungry, honest, humble values make it a very different place to work. As with any fast growth company a lot of emphasis is on the employee to be a master of their own destiny. There are plenty of challenges to extend your skills and the benefits are very good for a company of its size,

    Cons

The expectations are high and for some these are difficult to meet. As the company grows change is ever present and if you find change difficult, then it can be hard to adapt.

    Advice to Management

Never judge a book by its cover, always be open minded about the individual

    Pros

Amazing product with a loyal following once we're in the door. Benefits are second to none with decent salaries.

    Cons

Communication blows. Top-down. Senior Management are rarely heard from now we are a public company.

    Advice to Management

We've always been told it's an open door culture, collaborative, etc etc. Please do more to tell us why certain decisions are made. When you do, don't sugarcoat it. We're all adults here and understand change needs to happen - all we want is to know the reasons behind the change.

Internal messaging is "we are the best". Externally that comes across as arrogant - and it is hurting our value prop. Rein in the keyboard warriors on Twitter, they're not helping us.

    I worked at Nutanix full-time

    Pros

Good Product. Decent reputation in the HCI Space.

    Cons

This place is filled with people from same companies or old buddies , the downside is that if you haven't come through an internal reference it will be very difficult for you to succeed. The management expects to everyone to be copycats of what EMC/Dell does or did in the past. Ask questions or challenge internal promotions and you will be in the black list of your manager. The way targets are set is questionable; they literally pluck out a figure from thin air and give to the Reps to achieve. There has been some recent promotions of so called top performers however if looked closely these promoted people have fobbed the system by under reporting/forecasting their numbers and then overachieving to get promoted. The internal processes are a mess everyone in Sales is out their for personal gain and won't blink to push you out of the way to get promoted.

To everyone out there please be aware that the interviewers at Nutanix have a habit of overselling the company during interviews. Please do yourself a favour and take everything with a pinch of salt.

    Advice to Management

    None .
