Some good points but still a long way to go

Pros

A few interesting missions (software development for 95% of it) and employees with overall good technical skills. Good efforts to standardize and simplify main aspects of missions.

Cons

There are very few benefits, not to say none, for the employees. 20 days of holidays as required by the federal state. Homeoffice is limited to 1 day per month, if asked enough in advance, not on fridays, and limited to Swiss residents. Work hours are flexible, before 8.30am and after 6pm. Salaries for developers and UX are overall below the market. Management has very limited trust towards the employees making it difficult to build a lasting relationship.

Dear colleague, Thank you very much for taking the time to give us feedback. It is always appreciated. We are a people-oriented company, and try to align with today's world as fast as we can. We do offer flexibility in our working hours, they just have to be defined with your project manager. Our vacation compensation plan evolves with your seniority in the company and in addition we also offer wellness days, three this year for Christmas for example. It is in our culture to give the liberty to our colleagues to take ownership of more tasks and responsibilities. We try to give as many opportunities as we can, to people who work well and know when to cease them. We wish you a lot of success in your career, and hope we still managed to offer you a great working experience. Best regards, The HR-Team

Pros

- Interesting project with big clients - Buddy System - One per month lunch organized by the office - No extra hours - Belong to Swisscom

Cons

They say they are flexible, but it is a lie: 1. One day only of home office per month maximum and under specific conditions 2. Fixed hours (8h-18:30) 3. Can't work from a different office as you like Management & Bureaucratie: 4. Bad knowledge Management 5. Bad transfer of knowledge from senior to junior 6. Not enough responsibilities, and even lacking interesting work 7. Micro-management 8. Not very human leadership 9. Holiday: 20 days and they close the office during Christmas, which forces you to take days on your quota. 10. No extra monetary or non-monatery advantage 11. Expenses reporting rules are minimal People & offices: 12. Sexist & Arrogant people => not open 13. Offices are not welcoming and comfortable, with stuff unclean and hanging around (pile of cable and computer on the table). You can feel that there is no effort made — no light, broken furniture. 14. No diversity (most EPFL graduate or from polytechnical school). Only ten women Other: 15. Below average entry salary than other consulting & tech firms 16. If you get hired by a client, they will break your new work contract because they don't allow it 17. Little career development learning extra other skills

Dear colleague, Thank you very much for your feedback, it is always appreciated and helps us get better. We are a people-oriented company, in addition to propose exciting projects to our employees, we put a special effort into building a great working atmosphere through initiatives like team events, company lunches, feedback culture, after work apéros, wellness days... Also, we pay extra attention to our working environment, we just renovated our office in Geneva, are redecorating the one at the EPFL and have moved to a brand new building in Da Nang. We hope you will like the new spaces. It is in our culture to give the liberty to our colleagues to take ownership of more tasks and responsibilities. We try to give as many opportunities as we can, to people who work well and know when to cease them. We are sorry you did not feel as if you were given enough. Finally, we do not have strict rules on working hours and certainly don't enforce working hours from 8AM to 6.30PM! Each project team has the liberty to define their own core working hours, and we think it is very much appreciated. You can always discuss with your project manager if you have any issues, or with your career development buddy: they will listen and report to the right person, making sure things change. We wish you the best in your career and thank you once again for your precious feedback. Best regards, The HR team.

Pros

Great team spirit, good solidarity, relatively flat hierarchy, accessible management, healthy finances, strong Swiss identity and culture, respectful towards working hours.

Cons

Too much structure, have to ask permission for too many things and report too many things. General lack of diversity in company (Swiss male dominated).
