RecommendsApproves of CEOI worked at Officeworks full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
I worked at Officeworks for six years across a number of stores in different states. The culture there was great, and I enjoyed coming to work. I felt like if I had wanted to stay there would have been a career for me moving up through management.
Cons
As an established retailer, there is a resistance to change, especially amongst tenured employees, which can lead to negativity and friction between head office and stores.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Officeworks part-time for more than a year
Pros
- Amazing managers - Great coworkers
Cons
Higher up management (i.e. head office) ties hands for managers in stores and they get a bad rap. I have made lifelong friends here but they also have left due to how toxic it can get.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Officeworks full-time for less than a year
Pros
On the store leadership team, so you get to sit in meetings and get a better of an idea how the back of house works so you're learning the "how we do it" and the "why we do it". Monday to Friday work, and it's mostly day shifts.
Cons
Wouldn't recommend a business specialist role. No support from the team in head office. You're pretty much left to fend for yourself. Managers expect you to work 9 hours a day rather than the 8 you're getting paid for.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Officeworks part-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Staff discounts are good, not much training is required, great for uni students and getting into a workforce.
Cons
zero chance of a career, you require almost 10 years minimum to have any luck at a full-time position. zero communication from head office and managers. hours can be all over the place and at times devoid you of a social life.

The pay was acceptable, coworkers were friendly, everything was pretty relaxed. Very good 20% employee discount, along with 5% at any Coles Group stores.
Cons
Senior management (from head office) don't seem to be the best. Unclear vision, can be very bureaucratic. Policy and procedures were occasionally not followed.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Officeworks
Pros
Fantastic, motivated, want-to-achieve culture, driven by the desire to innovate, and be first to market, this is a company where it is all happening, and where some very smart people are leading the business to achieve a unique identity in a very crowded retail space.
Cons
Head office ain't in the city. Although that may Appeal to some.

Doesn't RecommendPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Officeworks part-time for more than a year
Pros
The pay is good, and working conditions and colleagues fantastic
Cons
The customers at p&c are some of the rudest you will EVER find in retail or hospo, and head office treat you like an imbecile if a complaint reaches them. There's no employee trust or support higher up than your local managers.
