Pros

Lots of vacant positions so easy to get a job

Cons

Management and HR lack basic employment law understanding. Staff are bullied and treated as expendable. Dishonest and unethical practices are the norm.

Pros

Open Minds is a great place to work with a genuine focus on client outcomes and a strong team culture. The organisation fosters collaboration across departments and encourages innovation in person-centred support. Support from direct line managers was consistent, and I felt valued in my role. Opportunities to make a real difference in participants’ lives.

Cons

There were two separate systems that managers had to use for service delivery and reporting. This made it difficult to reconcile data across platforms and created inefficiencies in daily operations. System-related training and technical support could have been more comprehensive, especially during onboarding or rollout phases.
