      Odd business with a cult of personality around the CEO

      The pleasure you get when you quit.

      Seemingly fixated with a rival company called Oxbridge. There appears to be a very reactionary knee-jerk management style, and I could see a weird cult of personality around the CEO. Staff seem to be either blood relatives, partners, or do the required amount of fawning needed to gain approval. Most of the social media posts or award wins seem to be about the business acumen of CEO specifically which is odd when it's supposed to be a college. Quite a few staff hired and fired very speedily as managers regularly throw subordinates under the bus.

      Pros

      The management team are very supportive and caring, you can tell as a family business that taking care of their employees is really important to them. The wider team are so friendly and welcoming too, making it such a fantastic place to work. There are opportunities for learning and development as well as career progression which is really motivating. I've been here six years and I'm happier than ever in my role here at Open Study College and I look forward to continuing to develop in my career with the Open Study College team.

      Completely toxic work environment Staff were spoken down to and deemed inferior. You are just a number Directors are not good people Each Sunday would fill me with dread at the thought of another week in the office The worst company I have worked for by far
