      Pros

People are friendly and they provide quality care to patients. Generally management does a good job in engaging with employees. Physicians and staff are genuinely good people.

      Cons

Pay scale is not on par with many other organizations. They seek people with high levels of experience, yet expect to pay them entry level salaries. Very slow growth

      Pros

Cheap health insurance Good eye insurance Good dental insurance

      Cons

Although they offer a We’re listening line that’s supposed to be anonymous if leadership knows someone in HR they will tell them who it was and play the message

      Used to be better

      Pros

Decent insurance benefits, matches some retirement contributions, decent PTO, and had tuition reimbursement when I left. Pay is average for the area, but as always it’s never enough for the work they ask you to do or the change in cost of living across Central Florida. The organization is large and is the lesser of two healthcare evils in the area. They are involved in the community they serve and frequently sponsor health and non-health related events. They care about providing cutting edge and research based care to their community. Most team members are friendly and you can build long lasting relationships with them. Just switched to EPIC charting system.

      Cons

I’ve had managers here who didn’t support or help with career advancement, even when it would involve staying within the organization. The hospitals in this organization are chronically short staffed for every position. Recently the organization made drastic changes to “help” with time and attendance (aka made it easier to fire people if they’re late or have to call in sick) following covid and staffing shortages - which really just made more people leave and left remaining staff even more short handed. Organization pulled a lot of shady stuff to fire people following covid when they were trying to cut costs (they looked back in some peoples files 7 years for things). Always asking nurses to do more without increasing compensation, amount of staff, or resources. Resident program can be a mess from time to time and it’s usually always the same problem with different people year after year, with nothing done to prevent the issues from coming up in the first place.

I genuinely love my job (department)

      Pros

Our Manager at the Chemo Pharmacy is very helpful and considerate with call outs and day off request. Has an open door policy and is extremely approachable.

      Cons

It's a small group when it comes to the pharmacy technician staff. Currently have only 6 techs when our department is in need to hire 1 to 2 more techs. One of the 6 techs is not a team player.

      Pros

if you're friends with your coworkers and manager you can basically do nothing all day.

      Cons

pay is kinda poor, but then again entry level position management is very pick and choose. Cannot criticize managers friends managers will ignore actions done by friends but if you don't hang out outside of work you will get punished for those same actions

Run away. Fast! This place will place your nursing license at immediate risk.

      Pros

It USED to be a great place to work, so if you want to sit in nostalgia for the good times when executives didn’t look at employees as a piggy bank to raid when they want another bonus for themselves then this place is for you!

      Cons

Hospital executives are unbelievably money hungry, FAR more than at other hospitals. Nurses were fired during COVID to cut costs. PPE is STILL locked away from bedside nursing, but not for doctors. Administration refuses to pay out bonuses even after promised for OT. Administration flat out refuses to replace nurse that have quit, driving ratios to insane levels.

      Pros

Patient-centered care and research Non-competitive workplace Hard-working bosses Collaborations with regional and national companies Good benefits Proximity of pharmacy and parking Sites include most technologies: IMRT/VMAT, protons, tomotherapy, HDR brachytherapy Beautiful departments, above ground with access to sunlight

      Cons

Could use more funding for new equipment Clinically oriented site = Relatively low research funding Unfamiliarity to research fellow role = uncommon research changes to workflow will cause dissent Lower access to other academic departments Very vertical workflow - probability for complaints arising from misunderstandings
