I have been working at Oxford University full-time

    Pros

The University is a great employer, most HR/Personnel related policies are very good and you get support should you ever need it

    Cons

If you are employed within research, you may end up with bad leadership within specific research groups where senior academics aren't necessarily trained managers.

    Advice to Management

Get all managers trained, including academic staff.

Oxford is also an expensive city to live in, whilst postdoc salaries are fixed to the (low pay) national scales.
