Pros
They are a great employer, and colleagues have always been supportive and friendly, as well as efficient. Good teamwork, enjoyable environment, flexible working hours, latest IT hard- and software, competence. Excellent benefits & great location. There are opportunities for development within the University for those who want it. The locations can be stunning. The ideal is to get what you put in, and you will often get more.
Cons
Too many committees, nobody seems to want to make decisions.
"Love working here."

RecommendsI have been working at Oxford University full-time
Pros
As with academia the job has flexible working hours which is good for parents. Although there are core hours we can always finish work at a later stage as long as things get done.
Cons
Lots of bureaucracy and paperwork. It can take very log to get a decision on simple things. The progression of your career is not straightforward and you can get stuck at a particular level very easily.
