I have been working at PPD full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

In my experience, PPD has been great at promoting work/life balance, even as I'm in a traveling position. It can be stressful at times, as with any job when you have deadlines for tasks, but I have never felt overwhelmed with work at this company. I have always felt very valued as an employee. I've given my all, but been recognized for it also, which is very important to me. In 5 years at the company, I've been promoted 3 times (soon to be 4), and I have always felt very supported and like my line manager cheers me on. I also live in an area where hurricane Florence really impacted us a few years back. The way PPD supported us during that time is was a testament to me about how much they really care about us, and I really appreciated all the ways they tried to help us during that time. I couldn't ask for a better company!

    Cons

As with any job, busy times can be stressful, but I have never felt like I wasn't supported, and my managers have always tried to make sure I had everything I needed and wasn't feeling overwhelmed.

I have been working at PPD full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good career opportunities if you are willing to take them. Lots of support if you need it. Great out look for the company even with the recent merger.

    Cons

High turnover of staff and not enough being done to prevent this. Salaries are no longer competitive with the market.

I have been working at PPD full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very professional staff and colleagues. V supportive during covid and came up with creative options to give people time to adjust to new way of life. Good business acumen and therefore company strong with a great pipeline of work. Promotes more staff each year than other CROs I’ve been in and empowers managers to make those decisions

    Cons

You can’t stand still in PPD. Lots going on to drive innovation- sometimes a little too much.

I have been working at PPD full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very good colleagues where you can request for help when needed (and also provide when you can)

    Cons

Overallocation where some times you can be under extremely stress and they keep telling you to hang on, number driven policies where the look of the numbers at some times do not reflect what you actually performed.
