I have been working at PSAV full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Get to see some cool sights (aka different hotels). Get real hands on experience as a AV tech as well as a hospitality expert.

    Cons

Being a female employee within a male dominated workspace is the biggest con. That's it. That's the biggest con.

I have been working at PSAV part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Consistent work with high turnover means many chances to be promoted

    Cons

Heavily underpaid compared to market rate, management is incompetent at most properties, high turnover means a lot of friends you make at work leave for better opportunities and lastly a lot of work is done in an unsafe way and while upper management preaches about safety middle and lower management are almost always more concerned about getting stuff done on time instead of safely

I worked at PSAV full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great place to start out and get experience. If you apply yourself they are willing and happy to promote you, although there is some seniority at play. Challenging work.

    Cons

Low wages, even for good technicians. Seniority concerns block management from keeping the right people with the right attitude. Labor intensive work.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at PSAV full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work is relaxed, many days have hours of downtime, most properties have free meals, there is a willingness to teach and help each other grow in AV, and you can borrow gear as long as it's not for profit or needed.(projector, lights, speakers)

    Cons

Higher Management made it hard to get bonuses for both technicians and directors(9.8/10 on 30+ surveys), there isn't much room for growth in the Michigan area, hours vary from 0 hours to 60 hours a week, flipping weekly and with no warning sometimes, management now discourages overtime making the 0 hour weeks harder to handle, and job can get boring 8+hr days of doctor/lawyer/dentist/accountant meetings.
