I have been working at Paddy Power Betfair full-time for more than a year

    Pros

"Unlimited" holiday - as someone who thinks your work/life balance is super important this is a great perk for me personally. Flexible working - bought in from Senior management and everyone feels comfortable working from home without having to worry about a culture issue. If you want progression and grow, its a great place to work.

    Cons

Offices not fantastic. At times senior management are promoted too quickly and not ready for their positions.

I have been working at Paddy Power Betfair full-time

    Pros

Flexible working encouraged. Uncapped annual leave, good benefits (health insurance, pension, etc.). Reasonably progressive "ways of working". Some basic efforts are made to offer support in the form of mental health awareness. Hard work is generally recognised and upward mobility is possible.

    Cons

Not the friendliest office. Company pretends to care about customers, but stunts such as new game launching on day of increased FOBT regulation to circumvent those new regulations show that the bottom line is more important than the customer. Part of an industry that routinely takes advantage of problem gamblers and is rapidly becoming a heartbreaking microcosm of our disintegrating society.

    Advice to Management

Do more to address problem gambling. Push for advertising bans. Stop flip-flopping on operational models and org changes. No sooner have staff adapted to new setup, there is another change. Continuity and consistency are important.

I have been working at Paddy Power Betfair full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

It’s a job in which you feel you belong, the colleagues are like family!

    Cons

Business critical role where licensing needs to be at the forefront. It’s too easy to miss a serve legal or mystery shopper which in tern can loose you your job. The fraudsters are persistent so you constantly need to be prepared to handle a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Recognise potential within shop teams to prevent staff from missing opportunities to progress.
