    Pros

-Generally friendly employees but who mostly keep to themselves -Gorgeous new office -Work from home days -Flexible and understanding managers (for the most part) -Fun products -Fast paced, deadline driven workloads -Great exposure to the processes involved in the consumer goods industry

    Cons

-Employees and office culture can feel standoffish at times -Typical office politics exist -New office is located in a bottlenecked area with traffic you can't avoid -Some remnants of old school micromanagement -Work can be repetitive and manual with very little slow periods; prone to burnout -Favoritism exists; excelling in the job isn't enough - you have to constantly push and ask and push and ask for any kind of advancement -High turnover rate in some departments (due to above)

I worked at Papyrus-Recycled Greetings full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Location. People. Self improvement, career-improvement and learning opportunities. "Stretch" assignments to broaden your abilities and open your scope of engagement.

    Cons

Change has ripple effects that impacts departments differently. Management seemed not to be conscious of this. If you are not the type of person who can adapt well to change no matter how little or small, this was not the place for you.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Papyrus-Recycled Greetings full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent transportation options due to location in the downtown area. Some honestly wonderful people worked here.

    Cons

The original Recycled Paper Greetings was a small company located in a vibrant and very diverse neighborhood in Chicago. The employees were young and old, black, white and all shades in between. That all changed once American Greetings bought the company. The corporate climate of AG crushed the spirit of a once funny and fun workplace. Most of the original staff is long gone, replaced with mostly white suburban girls of a certain age. Very few men and certainly no one of color. It's just a brand now, not a company. The brand is finally being killed off and moved out of Chicago to Napa Valley, California to be even more homogenized. RPG will eventually fade away completely in another year or so. What made the RPG brand great was the people who worked there. AG never understood that. RIP, RPG.
