I can't say for the market rate of pay for other positions but most of us are severely underpaid for the workload expected of us. They may be generous with their bonus but you are in for a ride if you're expecting to upkeep your life with a bonus that may or may not come at the company's discretion.
Managers and above (not all) are very disconnected with their teams. I do not blame most of them as the headcount available for the expectations from the higher mangement is very big. Its like you're expecting 1 car to tow 5 full container trucks. Its only natural that responsibilities are passed on down the chain. However, there's not enough support, which causes dissatisfaction, from the mid level and below.
