I have been working at Pharmaceutical Product Development full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stringent policies in place for treatment of employees. Even low performing employees are treated well. Thoughtful management gives the benefit of the doubt to employee.
Outstanding paid time off in comparison to other companies I've worked for.

    Cons

Most people tend to work long hours, though this is not expected from management.

    Advice to Management

Senior management should be more open about long term vision of company.

I worked at Pharmaceutical Product Development full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Actual managers/scientists know what they are doing. If you are fresh out of college, great place to start. You will learn cGMP and how to do fantastic, quality work

    Cons

Low compensation as compared to industry standard. Benefits are comparable, but salary is low compared to the education and experience requirements.

    Advice to Management

If they want to attract and retain good, ambitious employees, increase compensation and promotion ladder.

I have been working at Pharmaceutical Product Development full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a great work-life balance, work schedule is flexible and is a great place to get CRO experience. You get exposed to a wide range of research problems and bioanalytical methods ans procedures. Great company culture

    Cons

Very few promotional opportunities and compensation is below market rate. Salary employes are expected to put over 50+ hours of work a week. Almost no opportunities of continued education. There is a significant rotation of personal in junior positions and the senior leadership have been there for ever without much interest to help you advance in your career.

I worked at Pharmaceutical Product Development full-time

    Pros

You wlll receive the best training in cGMP. Your colleagues are good people to work with.Fair commitment to work-life balance.

    Cons

Demanding timelines. The entry level work is highly routine. Not and R&D environment or culture that embraces, develops, and sells new technologies. consequently there is a tendency to try to play hurryup and catchup when customers are turned away.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the people (in all aspects) to encourage them to want to come to work everyday.
