I have been working at Pharmaceutical Product Development full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly colleagues, free coffee, enough number of vacation leaves.

    Cons

Salary increase is based on basic pay, allowances are taxable (make sure to negotiate this and move it to basic pay instead because it's taxable anyway).

    Advice to Management

Politics is starting to become rampant, favoring friends on promotions (yes, it is very obvious to the staff). It should be standard when meeting criteria for a certain position as indicated in the company documents that people get promoted. ie. An employee of 3 yrs got promoted to Safety Specialist vs an employee who just turned 1yr and got promoted to the same position.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Pharmaceutical Product Development as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible timings to work
    WFH options.

    Cons

Contractors are treated in a very bad manner. They offer full time to the contractors by setting up a pay range which is very much less than what other company's are paying for the same role in the same area. They don't offer you full time based on your skills or your contribution to the project.
We were given just 1 day notice regarding the project completion which is very bad.
It's a CRO which is like a puppet in the hands of the client. Poor decision making by the higher management.
Project will be extended for only 2 months every time. Hard to find a lease for every 2 months.
No scope for growth and to improve your skills. You will be struck with the same duties all the time with no chance to improve your skills.

    Advice to Management

Try to treat the contractors in a better way.
Try to give 2 weeks of notice regarding the project extension( we both are humans)
Try to implement your own decisions.
