    Listens to employees, lots of possible positions/movement within the company, good benefits

    Cons

    There are a few people I’ve run across that don’t fit at PPD-not team players, divisive, catty. They can make things miserable until you roll off that project.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great leadership! Weed out those who don’t embody PPD...even if they’ve been there a while. Continue working on making pay competitive.

    Good benefits and great colleagues.

    Cons

    Very high workload/travel, which makes it hard to have a work/life balance. Management can also be inconsiderate of work load handed to CRA's.

    Advice to Management

    Advice given is to be considerate of the projects needs and its resourcing.

    Pros

    Pay for Senior CRA is fair, medical benefits are good. Line Managers appear to be caring and we'll informed.

    Cons

    There are so many SOPs and systems to work in. There is an SOP for everything so critical thinking and individuality are discouraged. Expense reporting is archaic and training is confusing. Seems a little stuffy for my tastes.

    Advice to Management

    Maybe give employees more opportunities to be individuals. Everyone's situation and schedule is different. Be more accommodating for CRAs.

    Pros

    Good line manager. Good health benefits (low premium, no deductible).

    Cons

    Expect CRAs to travel more (10-12 days on-site) and work more (lengthy MVRs 20+ pages with highly detailed annotated report, in a CTMS system) than other CROs.
    Atmosphere is negative and discouraging for CRAs. Morale is bad.
    Even lateral career moves for CRAs are discouraged.
    Some team and project management employs a 'pins and needles' attitude about how pleased the sponsor may be with CRA and CRO performance.
    Micromanaging but 'green' Team Manager.

    Advice to Management

    A positive growth environment will engender loyalty (not a large sign-on bonus).
