I worked at Planet Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Had much fun with a great team, much flexibility in scheduling, easy work, leadership opportunities, possibilities to grow in the company

    Cons

The pay was minimum wage and if you are not in school or have a baby, etc. your schedule may not be as flexible as those who claim to have other obligations

I worked at Planet Fitness full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Job is easy, you Clean your assigned equipment Give tours to prospective members Answer the phone The members were nice. Most of the time. See con

    Cons

Pay is terrible. Everywhere around the gym paid more. Corporate doesn't want to hear the complaints from members. They put it on the managers. Though managers have no say in most of the issues members have. Members snap at you for enforcing club rules. I had a manager who would hire anyone just to fill a spot. Every one they hired who didn't come dressed decently for an interview was terrible. They didn't get fired no matter what they did.

I have been working at Planet Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

For the most part, they will work with your schedule if you have other obligations. Free black card membership. Coworkers can be cool.

    Cons

You get what you pay for; you start right around minimum wage. Training is laughable. Theres not even a manual so you end up getting incorrectly trained. You will then be reprimanded and scorned for doing things incorrectly, even though nobody ever taught you how to properly do about 75% of your required responsibilities. You will be micromanaged more intensely than you ever have in your life, and will end up cleaning for about 50% of your shift. The amount of rules and procedures you have to learn (without a manual) is unrealistic. Not only do they expect you do abide by every nuanced protocol, but they expect you to do it while consistently understaffed. The average stay with the company was about 3-4 months so you're consistently working alone on the weekend or with people who have no clue what their doing. No upward mobility.

I have been working at Planet Fitness full-time

    Pros

    Easy job, not much else

    Cons

Asked to do way too much for the amount you’re paid, district management saves money in any way they can, they stress sales goals but there is no commission for achieving them- only penalties if you don’t reachcthem
