I have been working at Plante Moran full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people within the firm are very understanding and genuinely care about each other. There is a strong sense of a "team" and management allows very flexible work schedules to accommodate employees when needed.

    Cons

Difficult to network internally and learn more about practice areas due to the structure of the current Southfield West building. (No general cafeteria/lobby for staff)

    Advice to Management

Keep having an interest in your staff and continue to allow for the flexibility when needed. It means a lt!

I have been working at Plante Moran full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Clarity of cultural values around humility, patience and teamwork, high levels of professionalism, commitment to leadership development, availability of opportunity, conservative and balanced corporate strategy

    Cons

The compensation philosophy requires patience which can bring about frustration in some (especially in tight labor market), the culture can be a bit risk-averse, talent recognized in ways other than title/title changes (title changes largely based on seniority for first most campus hires for a decade)

    Advice to Management

Keep walking the tightrope while staying true to values and principles

I worked at Plante Moran full-time

    Pros

Casual dress, some good people that work there, not much else to say about this employer.

    Cons

Poor management, if you arent a partner you are treated like lower class, unethical, no coaching, treated as expendable, under paid and over worked.

    Advice to Management

    Hire real managers

    Pros

I worked at Plante Moran full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Coworkers are nice, Good entry level experience, Individual office atmosphere can be very welcoming depending on coworkers, some of the best benefits and pto in the industry

    Cons

Very passive aggressive supervisory/middle management with no interest in seeing individual employees suceed, annual pay increases are subpar, boring and stereotypical company culture

    Advice to Management

Realize the value in an individual and understand why someone may be an outlier instead of throwing them out immediately. If there are issues with an individual, give them proof of what is happening and a chance to improve or at least show them they have value even if they aren't a good fit for your organization. Have a clearer roadmap for potential advancement opportunities within departments.
