    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at PlayStation for more than a year

    Pros

You learn some stuff, although not a great deal because of limitations from management

    Cons

Terrible management, contractors are not treated fairly. Payment was always late and sometimes you can wait up to a month before you get paid because the system was so bad and just because you're a contractor.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at PlayStation for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - It's PlayStation. You'll probably come away with some free stuff and a good name on your CV - Office is in a very convenient location in the middle of London - There's a subsidised bar/canteen - Good place to learn about how much red tape there is in a company as large and poorly organised as SIE. Very educational.

    Cons

    - Company is filled with legally questionable 'freelancers' who can only work core hours, cannot work from home, and do not get paid holiday or sick pay. Furthermore, due to being unable to work from home or have flexible hours, freelancers are forced to take days off on bank holidays and over Christmas, for which they aren't paid. Freelancing wouldn't be an issue if they were given freelancer hours and paid more than 25k, which sadly isn't the case at PlayStation. - People frequently promoted due to being friends with senior management, who then sit on their position and do nothing. Yes, there are indeed people in management positions at PlayStation who do almost nothing all day except play games, just like the stereotype. - Senior management open to sharing ideas, but not at all open to actually changing or improving anything. - HR aware of all of these problems, but are powerless to assist. Especially if you have the dreaded freelancer status, in which case they cannot help you at all, as you are an employee but also not an employee. - Very much an old boys club - you can tell just by looking at the male/female ratio of the top managers in PlayStation EU. Women turned down for promotions due to being 'too opinionated', men promoted because they 'speak their mind'. Typical double standard. Overhearing loud conversations from Producers about how they only hire 'hot girls' is a treat. - Surprising number of people who don't actually play games or seem to like them at all work there. Colleagues would actually make fun of 'the nerds/losers/weirdos' who love PlayStation products whilst simultaneously designing marketing strategies to cater to said 'nerds'.

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I worked at PlayStation for less than a year

    Pros

Good co-workers, responsive support staff, thorough benefits, and no shortage of resources at one's disposal (provided management can be convinced of an idea's validity).

    Cons

Sporadic work hours, inconsistent passion / motivation levels amongst employees, a general sense of money being much more important than corporate reputation or product quality
