    Pros

Varied tasks in my job. I get to learn new things.
Friendly atmosphere. I rarely see office drama.
You will be pushed to grow and get better.
Surrounded by people who have done this stuff for a lot longer than me. I learn from them constantly.

    Cons

Long hours & stress - but what can you do? The benefits outweigh the fact that we must stay late sometimes or pull a weekend session.

    Advice to Management

    keep growing

I have been working at Postmates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - 2018 was a huge year for Postmates. The company has landed major investments ($400MM), hired great talent, and continuously grown week over week. In a nutshell, things are really exciting right now
    - Base comp is higher than average, and healthcare benefits are amazing
    - Interesting technical problems to solve. Days aren't filled with solving mundane bugs - there are big things to be built in order to scale to our new demand
    - New and nice office with good food. I enjoy coming to work every day

    Cons

    - We don't have the holy-grail "unlimited paid time off" that many tech companies flaunt. We can work from home/remote whenever, but only get 16 official "off" days annually
    - Onboarding flow needs revisiting for new engineers. Lots of outdated/deprecated onboarding documentation, so getting started can feel overwhelming

    Pros

startup environment, a lot of people are very friendly, smart and cool, you can learn a lot from them
    medical benefits

    Cons

management team... keeping toxic people around for so long it's not going to benefit the company.
Core values and direction of the company is too vague
there is no transparency whatsoever and at the end of the day there is only so much you can "figure out" yourself

    Advice to Management

    be more transparent.
understand what's wrong and what's toxic and take actions
take care of people who actually care about the company and the business
define company culture and core values

I worked at Postmates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very welcoming energy. Somewhat lax environment.

    Cons

Underlying racism, no growth for blacks or people of color, you can be terminated for defending yourself. Management is not to be trusted at all.

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to the employees when they tell you there is an issue. No one trusts management because they don't listen and automatically take the side of the leaders in charge which is the ultimate setup for a corrupt system.
