Pros

The COO…he’s a stand up guy. He truly cares about the employees and it shows.

Cons

The CEO. He runs the company on manipulation, intimidation, fueled by his own insecurities, creating a toxic atmosphere. People who blindly obey get ahead, while those with actual skills and integrity get ostracized. The CEO and his cronies, who can’t manage their way out of a paper bag, are only there to stroke his ego. Don’t expect to know what is going on, chaos is designed by choice. If you are an actual logical, intelligent, adult who knows how to do your job, expect to have zero privacy. Cameras and the puppets are always listening….because, yano…if you’re good at your job, know what your talking about, and can actually contribute something valuable to the company…you are obviously doing something SO horrible!! The only thing you’ll gain from this is a therapist from all the gaslighting and verbal abuse.

Pros

This company is a good stepping stone for career. You will learn a lot about lending because it’s a small company and employees have a lot of exposure to ”what goes on”. They offer remote employment which is the biggest bonus of this company.

Cons

The CEO is not someone I would ever want to be associated with, let alone work for ever again. In any capacity. “Leadership” is made up of the CEO and other individuals without relevant industry experience. They do not have a voice because they have to follow everything the CEO says. PowerPay has an HR department made of 1 person. PowerPay is sneaky when it comes to compensation. They will promise you the sun, moon, and the stars in compensation but come up with excuses when it’s time to live up to those promises. People are constantly quitting or being “let go”. There’s a lot of drama between the CEO/COO. The PTO policy isn’t great but not the worst I’ve seen. There’s no ladder to climb to progress and grow. UNLESS you impress the CEO, then you’ll be promoted to leadership! Woohoo! If you don’t have strong morals or agree with standing up and doing the right thing, you’d probably fit in. If you are a genuine person, do not work here. There are so many companies out there to work for. You will have a better experience elsewhere!

Don't Do It...

Pros

A tiny pay check that hopefully covers a bill or two.

Cons

*Expensive and terrible health insurance. Good luck finding coverage outside of Philly. *HR has a habit of sharing info that should not be shared. They also take about 48 hours to respond to emails - if they respond at all. *HR declared that MLK was not a real holiday in a public Slack channel. When they were informed that they were incorrect, they made no correction and it is still up today. *The CEO is very disliked by the company as a whole and has temper tantrums and uses profane language during meetings. The CEO often has no clue how anything works. *The CEO once had a meeting with a department and literally said nothing of relevance and had no real answers to questions. The entire department was left dumfounded at how useless the meeting was. It created more questions and low moral. *Speaking of moral, most of the company is openly looking for other work as this company is whistleblower away from collapse. *The inner workings of this company are alarming and I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up on some sort of exposé documentary Take this as you want, these are just factual experiences.
