I have been working at Premier Research full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - The atmosphere here is dynamic and fast paced. No day is ever the same so no chance to get bored!
    - Travel and workload is less than my previous company. Expectations of employees here are more realistic, meaning a better work / life balance.
    - Management are interested in progressing employees. It seems that they want to retain good staff here.
    - Exciting time to be part of Premier Research.

    Cons

    - You cannot blend into the background here so there is no shying away from challenges / situations. People here are very much treated as an indvidual and you should be ready to have an opinion and make a difference.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what your doing! The company is in a really positive place at the moment.

    Pros

Good team work. Small company but closer work relationship. Attracts interesting projects from small and mid size bio pharma companies with innovative products. Projects were never boring.

    Cons

Hard work unappreciated most of the time.

    Advice to Management

Reward hard working staffs and don't be shy showing your appreciation, it is worth twice than boring appraisal paper work.

    Pros

Lots of flexibility as long as your work is strong. Community environment. More transparent management than other places I've worked. Room to grow is rather frequent as new projects are given (via contract) to the groups there.

    Cons

This experience apparently can change from office to office. When i left the company was at 1000+ employees with about 12 offices. My experience was from the Quincy, MA office.

    Advice to Management

Keep the community feeling and employees will continue to want to put their best foot forward.

    Pros

Very professional staff, excellent teamwork, supportive management, the benefits are ok and the HR team looks to the employees for feedback

    Cons

There is limited growth opportunity at Premier, they've jumped on the bandwagon of changing to a company that does not allow employees to work from remote offices

    Advice to Management

Recognize the potential and foster it in current employees to grow talent organically.

I worked at Premier Research full-time

    Pros

There are plenty of employees UNDER management that were a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

Line managers are rude and not open to change. If they feel threaten by you or your ideas, they will either take them or get rid of you.

Communication and honesty isn't valued here.

    Absolutely no work/life balance.

HR does not have have your best interest at heart. They say one thing but will secretly stab you in the back. Also most of the 5/5 you see under their reviews is HR.

Employees in certain departments are hard to work with and super opposed to change even if it's helping the company move forward. They're so comfortable and feel "secure" that they feel entitled and will speak to you in any kind of way.

    Advice to Management

Advice to CEO instead... get out of your office and really figure out who your employees (line managers) really are. They are a big part of your turnover rate.

    Pros

Good CRAs. Small CRO however salary is in line with bigger CROS. Fair vacation policy. Training helpful as systems are so outdated.

    Cons

Clueless line management. Line management does not understand clinical research. Argumentative and extremely rude line managers. Systems are very old and quirky.
