I have been working at Priory Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The Priory Group has been great from the start. I was very new to the role and have been given lots of support and feedback to further my learning. The company are funding me to do an apprenticeship in my desired field and have ensured that I receive training and advice to help me attain this qualification. There is always a positive atmosphere at work and you truly feel that you are helping to make a difference.

    Cons

The workload can be challenging at times, particularly as I am still learning but I am always supported when needed, and am always given the opportunity to learn from these challenges.

    Advice to Management

Your continued support is always appreciated.

I have been working at Priory Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Friendly , supportive, nice environment to work in . A great team ethic. Good communication from the board and CEO, welcoming to new staff, celebrates success. Patient focused . Despite the hospital I work at growing it still retains a friendly feel.

    Cons

Recruitment of qualified nurses is difficult but this is due to the shortage across the country and not just a priory problem

    Advice to Management

Just continue to communicate to staff all changes and show that you care 😀

I have been working at Priory Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Good career progression if management at site level supportive, which mine when I started were thankfully - Senior management team made a lot of improvements to the running of the company in a lot of ways in recent years, from Craegmoor to Priory Adult Care - Satellite services good; HR, admin support etc - Employee benefits good - Good governance procedures in place, they have a document for everything - As... a company, always trying to find ways to make improvements and lessons learnt which is reassuring - Learnt an extensive amount over time I’ve worked in 3 different services from support worker to registered manager in 4 years - The tasks/roles you are required to do as a manager make you far better as a manager

    Cons

    - Estates budget needs attention, there are still a lot of services that are in need of extensive refurbs, sends a message that doesn’t align with company values - Support worker wage not as competitive as it should be across the division, would be a far better investment for the company and improve efficiencies to increase wage/get a better candidate profile that is more competitive

    Advice to Management

Not too many complaints, the company, mainly Priory Adult Care, is going in the right direction, have a lot of time for the leadership team in general. Would say it just seems obvious to reduce agency across the company, increase the wage and have a better quality candidate profile, reduces inefficiencies such as sickness, HR issues and everything else if better quality candidates were available, such a better... investment surely?

I have been working at Priory Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

They are passionate about delivering a first in class service. They prefer to promote from within so lots of opportunity

    Cons

Salaries are way behind market and they refuse to implement bandings. To save money they cut back on staff perks without consideration of the implications.

    Advice to Management

Spend money (in the right areas) to save money!!

I have been working at Priory Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Get to support some amazing service users Meet some great people Made some fantastic memories

    Cons

Management does not have a clue, doesn't even care about the service users. Takes in service users we are not equip to deal with, putting service users and staff at major risk. At interview you are told the service users go out every day but i have been there for 780 days and i have only been out a handful of times. Sad because they deserve better

    Advice to Management

Higher head office management need to remove our manager and deputy plus our team leaders.......
