I have been working at Progressive Insurance full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-great pay, amazing year end bonus based on company profits and not individual performance -raises are decent -overtime is optional and extremely often available -great benefits, 6% match on 401k (max this out!) -they treat their employees well

    Cons

-tons of work, very very faced paced like no other job ive ever had -if you cannot deal with the stress and tons of work you won't do well

I have been working at Progressive Insurance full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Salary is higher than competitors

    Cons

Shamed for quality of work, constant negative feedback. Work load is unmanageable and management is very close with subordinates whereas you feel targeted 24/7. Also barely any days off and absolutely NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. Training is subpar and expectations are high

I worked at Progressive Insurance full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Taking a picture with Flo cutout at home office

    Cons

Zero appreciation, crack the whip if you go one minute past your lunch break, expect you to come early, stay late and work weekends. Modern day slavery. If you break down your salary by the hours worked, you might break even minimum wage.

I have been working at Progressive Insurance full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Benefits, work from home/anywhere in country if family er takes you out of office.

    Cons

Interviewed & hired for Litigation Adjuster & told would only be handling lit; job description never provided beforehand ; upon arrival dumped Large Loss files & title something entirely different. Actual job duties are drastically different from what is on the job description, what you discuss during interviews and with recruiters. Extrernal hires receive NO training that is of any benefit & you are immediately held to same standards as long term employees. Work is repetitive & redundant when documenting claim files: numerous note entries for various approvals when 1 is sufficient. NO support from manager; ask a question and you’re given a job aid to figure it out. ZERO ownership for failed training & expectations; info you needed to do your job & dropped on you months later. Ability to negotiate & settle claims ‘on the fly’ not possible w/o prior authority even when you HAVE desk authority! And then every single penny must be accounted for s a range with sufficient eval is not allowed. Claim system & processes are severely outdated. They want you to think outside the box & when you do, you’re told ‘that’s not how we do things.’ Didn’t know I’d be required to travel or obtain 18 adjuster licenses prior to first day. Numerous issues had I known when job offered I would have declined.
