      Pros

This is a great place to learn how businesses operate from the executive level. You will have the opportunity to work in a number of different industries.

      Cons

Time - You will work long hours to achieve the project goals Travel - You must have a "road warrior" mentality to be able to deal with the travel schedule. You will spend more time in your hotel than in your actual home

      Pros

You get opportunities to dive headfirst into the kinds of operational issues that all companies face and learn sustainable, long term strategies to drive company growth and improve efficiency.

      Cons

You will have to get used to the travel and the long hours. Many people can't handle it and it's something to take seriously before accepting a role here.

      Disappointing after a promising beginning

      Pros

      - the travel is great. - they let you keep your frequent flyer miles/points - there is a TON of responsibility from day one

      Cons

      - I was privy to more politicking in the first DAY on this job than I was in SIX years at my last job. there is a lot of airing of grievances between upper management and they will use you as a pawn in their games. - the staff on site will look out for their own with no regard for training new employees. I was thrown under the bus from day one, literally. - work life balance is virtually non-existent. I am a hard worker and not opposed to long hours, but when a 15 hour day is the NORM it makes it hard to get up to speed as a new hire. - feedback was critical in a non-constructive way. No positive feedback/reinforcement was offered when tasks were done up to or above expectations, but when things were done incorrectly EVERYONE on the project knew about it as it was aired in the most public of ways - ZERO feedback from directors on job performance. - Very little training. What was trained was not what was needed. - Concepts that are trained to clients (effective behaviors for Executive teams, good management behaviors, etc.) were not put into practice by the team. - they will tell you during the interview process that business is booming, but that is not true. - unprofessionalism abounds. you will be told that honesty is key, but no one is ever truly honest.
