RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Providence Health & Services full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Providence pays for your CMA schooling if qualified for their apprenticeship program. I was hired directly out of high-school and had my college tuition with certification testing fees covered. Time for studying and classes werw not paid for, however I was paid to complete on-the-job training 40 hours a week for a minimum of 2000 hours (took just under 12 months) with full benefits and PTO. Gaurenteed position for 2 years as "repayment" for tuition. May not pay as high as other places, but as the first company to offer the program in the area and maintain a 100% graduation rate. I'm grateful to have been given this opportunity. Saving $16k+ on tuition and getting paid to gain clinical experience? Winwinwin.
Cons
As a non-profit, expect to be paid less with potentially higher stress that some other locations. If you're passionate about patients in need, Providence turns away less patients than most.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Providence Health & Services full-time for more than a year
Pros
Very flexible position in my department, with hours, days, etc. I have the opportunity to see my insights and reflections about daily job tasks affect change to our department’s goals and structure. Very rewarding to see my clients as well.
Cons
Large company, so my small department can get lost or forgotten at times when there are company updates. It can be hard to navigate all the layers of people, departments, managers, etc to actually get info you need.
Pros
Adequate compensation, educational opportunities, supportive management
Cons
Lack of resources - often too few CNAs
Pros
Union representation, Benefits, Salary, Shared Governance
Cons
Low salary for cost of living

RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Providence Health & Services full-time
Pros
Easy to take time off.
Cons
They continue to add new people for you to support instead of hiring another person. Wages seem low in comparison to the number of people you can support in comparison to other companies.
