Pros

free transport for some fruits and bread

Cons

Where to begin? There is so much to say about this company’s disastrous leadership, inept managers, incoherent strategy, abysmal HR and overall toxic work environment that I’m surprised nobody has approached Netflix yet to make 4 season mockumentary about the dictatorial cult that is Prozis. For starters, 99% of the workforce will start with a short-term contract, regardless of age or experience, to facilitate firings and promote precarity. Upon arrival you will receive very little to 0 guidance or training. It is very much figure it out don’t even think about asking questions, your manager doesn’t have time for it. The catastrophic leadership by the founder who has built himself up into a cult like figure and who has surrounded himself by people who either don’t have the stomach or are too wrapped around his finger to contradict any of his decisions has allowed the company’s culture and work environment to crumble in just a matter of months. The company’s strategy is basically determined on whether or not the founder has had 8 hours of sleep or not the night before. Departments have gone from mass hiring to having to cut 50% of their team overnight because of a 4am epiphany. People who are hired for a certain job have seen their position disappear within a week of them joining the company. Employees who have made a switch from one position to another within the company have seen their new position no longer exist on day 1, leaving them in limbo and effectively without a job. During the past few months, despite records sales and profit levels, the company has gotten rid of hundreds of employees during one of the most economically uncertain times in modern history. Bonuses have been slashed, employee discounts reduced, employee accounts monitored and employees are now obligated to submit daily reports of their daily work for management to deem whether or not it is worth keeping them. The company will argue they actually hired more during this period, this may be true if you count the hiring of the short-term minimum wage workers working in the warehouses. Jobs that, without the growth made possible by those in the office, would not exist. At no point will you be able to voice your opinion, at no point will you be given feedback about your performance. Communication within the company and between departments is non-existing. No one has a clue about the company’s strategy or values, instead you are told to shut up and work. Employees, partners and clients are all treated as disposable and if it is possible to take advantage of them in any way, it will be done. Partner contracts are often not respected and payments deliberately delayed. Did I mention that there are 2 goats enclosed in a 3 by 3-meter pen inside the building? Why? Because Prozis is the Greatest Of All Time. Yes, you read that correctly, the company essentially has animals in captivity because of one man’s aggrandized ego about his firm. Even made a rap video about it. But fear not, apparently the goats love all the artificial light and the indoor environment. Reading his responses on former colleagues’ reviews reveals a lot about the man’s personality. Often a superficial and mostly copy pasted response with the problem always lying elsewhere (in your ‘mindset’) with no admission that there is obviously something wrong internally with so many people speaking out. Besides a certain ‘mindset’ you apparently need to work at Prozis, what about the lack of training, feedback, goals, communication, clarity… Miguel you are obviously a smart man and a great entrepreneur, but clearly at times your ego gets in the way of your judgement. To argue that to be successful at Prozis you must embrace change and work hard can’t be further from the truth. From my experience in my department, I have never worked within a more complacent, slow paced environment where close to 0 initiative is taken. It is tragic to think of how perpetual and widespread internal mismanagement can ruin something with so much promise. A company who just over a year ago had an overall very positive; productive workforce and company culture has completely transformed. At this rate any employee with an ounce of ambition or self-respect is looking for a way out. And when you do leave be it forced or voluntary, you will have the chance to feature in Prozis’ monthly email they send to all employees with pictures of those who have left coupled with their newest catchphrase ‘Prozis is not for everyone’ underneath. Classy. With many of its most talented employees either already gone or looking to leave, there are dark times ahead for this fuet producing umbrella company.

Pros

Nice facilities Transport for those with more than 35km

Cons

Ever heard the saying in American movies “Anything you say can and will be used against you?”. Well, here it applies perfectly. Beware of everything you say and ask, as you can automatically be set as a “black sheep” and join the “blacklist” of the ones to slaughter right away. If you don’t wanna feel safe at your job, this is the right company for you. And this goes way back before the pandemic. You never knew whenever people would feel like getting rid of you just because the founder decided to change strategy, or they do not simply like you. The HR is a mess and a joke that mainly serve as a yes-man and a snitch to the founder. You live under constant fear and nervous workplace, where the founder and management team use the slogan “exceed yourself” to create a legion of fans. If you’re willing to use something like a horse eye cover to follow the rules set by the founder, even the stupid ones that look at having two goats (yes, you read it correctly!) in the middle of the office with reduced space and no sunlight as a normal thing, you’re gonna be fine. If you look at having painting all over the building with sayings such as “shut up and work” as a normal thing in a supposedly innovative company, you’re gonna be fine. If you look at internal newsletters showing the people who recently left the company with the saying “Good luck. Prozis is not for everyone” as something healthy to say to someone who might have worked hard for the company, you’re gonna be fine. If you look at controversial internal announcements strategically sent at leaving hours (6 pm) so that employees wouldn’t have the time to ask questions, you’re gonna be fine. If you don’t value career development, you’re gonna be fine. If you’re ok working with a company with a despicable culture and values, you’re gonna be fine. Prozis isn’t indeed for everyone, especially the ones that value their self-worth.

I m sorry that Prozis was not a good experience for you. I agree that if you do not understand our mindset it can be a bad experience. It is not for everyone. For instance you did not understand “shut up and work" . It seems you don't know Albert Adrià. 1 of the best chefs in the world. It seems you did not take the time to learn about him, to learn about what it means "calar e trabajar". Or take the time to ask to someone what does it mean. Is a common misunderstood if you have less than 15 years old ;) The picture and wording is not about employees. it is about the leaders: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=279705196228815&extid=7EvwULcmvJP3grcC About my little dwarf nigerian goats. You don't know what you are talking about. They are in a 5 stars hotel. well fed, warm, clean, etc.. My first job was in a farm. I know how the goats live normally. And I can guarantee that they don't have 2% of the comfort they have in our offices. We try to take the goats to the garden outside but they do not like. they prefer to be home. it seems that you also did not understood what the goats mean! Guys if you can live with goats in the office please do not come. ;) Serious

Pros

- Transportation if you are 35kms away from company office (although this seems to sometimes depend...) - You will leave at 6pm sharp each day - Good, kind and talented colleagues.

Cons

Ultimately, if you are happy to go to work only to pick up your salary each month, not ask any questions and don’t mind not feeling valued within a company and you have no dependents or financial responsibilities, then you will be fine - you don’t need to read on. After all, the new slogan is… Prozis is not for everybody. Evidently, the company I joined, and the one I left are two different experiences. It turned out that Prozis was not for me because: - On boarding - you will receive a tour of the office and given a presentation about the company on your first day, you’ll then go for a welcome lunch with your team leader. After that you’re on your own. It’s not unusual for new starters to not be properly introduced to colleagues, not given the appropriate tools to do the job or receive any formal training - often left to just ask the person next to them how they are to do the job. It says a lot about how you are to be valued as soon as you sit at your desk. - Change management and internal communications is very bad. Staff often left with more questions than answers about changes within the company - but don’t you dare ask about it… This feeds anxiety and a bad atmosphere throughout the company. - Feedback is not welcome. Therefore you have no idea how your performance is valued until you have your contract renewal feedback meetings. - Ideas, opinions and personal growth are not welcome. It’s a very rigid structure and if you suggest options you will be seen as a trouble maker. - All questions get answered “because the founder says so” - All negativity is ignored or squashed so not to ruin the illusion that Prozis is to colonize the world and everything that happens at Prozis is awesome. - No career progression opportunity - the role you accept will be your role permanently in the company - unless you are “encouraged” into a sideways move into another department. - Unstable environment- nobody knows how long their job will be there, constant feeling that you could get fired at any moment. People are not motivated by wanting to succeed to grow, but rather to just keep their job. - The whole place is a vanity project for the founder. Goats, music videos, poetry... yep, go with it and don't ask questions. - No obvious marketing strategy - expect to be doing one thing one day, and then a totally different thing another day, without any logical reasoning or explanation - imagine the chaos this results in when it's Black Friday… - New bonus rules - a coupon every 3 months to spend in store (without staff discount on products) instead of monthly payment bonus to your salary - “Shut up and work” signs and similar types around the office - motivational, huh? - No flexibility - you have to log in your time of arrival, lunch break and when you leave - there is no trust. - Micro-management throughout, from the simplest payments to be authorised to decor in the office - there’s that trust issue again… - Disrespectful attitude to staff members - too many examples to give here, the latest now being upon staff leaving they are now told “Prozis is not for everybody.” - Often you will only know that management know of your existence if you make an error, rather than good performance. - The office is a worksite. It was cold, there was no hot water - I hope that has changed by now, it’s loud, dusty and dirty. Goats near the kitchen, because… well, Prozis do whatever the hell they like and you go along with it ok? Don’t ask questions remember ;-) the WiFi was also very bad in some areas. - Different staff members get different tools to do the same job with no explanation as to why that is. Some may have a work phone, a work laptop (as well as their desktop), a desk phone, hell, lucky ones even get a mouse pad! - Some will only have the desktop computer to carry out the same tasks. But you will be expected to achieve the same results. - The values are unclear - strange to work for a company where you don’t know the values. Apparently two of them are humbleness and transparency - which is a joke considering the arrogance and the constant disrespect for partners, customers and staff. It’s anything but humble and transparent. - Management is very weak - with no obvious career progression routes, it’s unclear what the requirements are to be a Team Leader - as there are some with management skills that leave a lot to be desired - and with no emphasis on professional growth or feedback, don't expect them to take the courses to develop skills or show any impression of wanting to improve.
