I have been working at Pulse (UK) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Once you start it is a great company to work for and the training is the best you will learn alot.

    Cons

Getting to your start date, it is a long process and I believe they need to be more truthful about how long it would take to start after all the training.

    Advice to Management

Just to keep new staff informed more but otherwise an awesome company to work for, would recommend to anyone

I have been working at Pulse (UK) full-time

    Pros

I have worked for the company for over 1 year and can safely say I have learnt a lot within the business. There is on-going training not only for internal employees but also our support workers, the training that we receive is by far the best training I have ever came across. Don't get me wrong in the past the office management haven't been there for me work wise but now there is a new structure and new management in...

I worked at Pulse (UK) full-time

    Pros

some managers are ok drinks on a friday.. easy to make friends got some good experience to write on cv lunch time home time

    Cons

Bad management, only certain managers really engage with the teams Too Target driven - some targets that are not always achievable, ie. call stats. sometimes 100 calls out will not achieve you 2 hours and regardless of being on the phone for 2 hours you may not book x10 more shifts etc. Not easy to hit the call times/make 100 calls out with nothing to do.. Fun taken out of the job due to targets mainly call stats high...

I have been working at Pulse (UK) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Training for new starters, great management, friendly colleagues. Lots of benefits. The director and CEO are very approachable and friendly. Good comission structure. Hard workers are recognized and rewarded. Amazing hours not like your normal recruitment hours of 0800-1800, working weekends, staying back and being on call. Hours that Pulse provide are almost mythical in terms of recruitment. Earlies:0800-1630 08:30-1700...

    I worked at Pulse (UK)

    Pros

Staff Development and progression, Team culture, benefits and great senior management team who are really truly passionate about their business.

    Cons

No Automony to enhance own desk. Coming from a smaller agency I found having to be trained to go and meet my candidates and clients a little over the top when I had worked for over 10 years doing the same without issue.

    Advice to Management

Allow experienced people to develop by their own volition as it actually hindered me to not be able to go and visit candidates and clients

I have been working at Pulse London Nursing for just over 18 months and would highly recommend Pulse as an employer. Pros

Great team, good managers, an open and transparent commission scheme that isn’t forever changing. People are genuinely working towards the same goals and there is a real focus on delivering excellent customer service to candidates and clients meaning the brand is well respected. I have read some of the reviews on here and have worked in other recruitment companies. The expectations of staff are reasonable for a recruitment firm, in fact I was pleasantly surprised when I started here. You are not required to be on call or take a phone home as is the case with a number of other healthcare agencies, you are encouraged to take a break and not work through your lunch. There isn’t the usual recruitment...

    Pros

Positive support, clear career pathways, well paid, great benefits, don't feel any hierarchy, available resource to do your job, well rewarded - pro active company with clear visions, transparency - flexibility, just a great company to work for in general

Full on job which is extremely satisfying but you can't be afraid of hard work. The market has recently taken a down turn.
